October is better known for Halloween, and Shocktober is one of the biggest Halloween events in the Smoky Mountains. Shows are offered on most Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays throughout the month, in addition to a few other dates.
3. Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg
The Gatlinburg Oktoberfest event has become a popular event for visitors of all ages. It’s a great way to experience the German culture and enjoy a little food and music while you’re on vacation. There are performances that take place daily throughout the course of the festival.
4. Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair
If you are looking for something a little more crafty, we suggest you add a visit to the annual Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair. This exciting event is where you and your family or group can witness the many great talents of hundreds of artisans and craftsmen from all across the country as you explore the exhibit area of the Gatlinburg Convention Center.
5. Ripley’s Fright Nights
If you haven’t quite had your fill of Halloween adventure, you should plan a visit to Ripley’s Fright Nights. The event run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the month of October. Shows start at 6 p.m. with a character parade. This event takes an already spooky show and turns up the notch a bit to create a thrilling and memorable evening for you to enjoy.
