Smoky Mountain Winterfest is a magical celebration that begins in late fall and extends all the way out to nearly the starting of March! Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville team together with local business like Dollywood, Ripley’s Aquarium and many other businesses to bring you the most festive Christmas and Winter season lighting displays in East Tennessee. Millions of twinkling light are arranged in festive theme displays, offering you lots to enjoy town after town!
The Smoky Mountain Winterfest begins Nov. 7 in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Sevier County. The celebration runs through Feb. 2017.
More than 15 million lights will brighten up the streets throughout the Smoky Mountains.
This season, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas will present its Parade of Many Colors and a brand new production of “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
Over at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the brand new 3-story Treehouse and Play Center will debut, with bridges, slides and obstacle course.
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland will also have a brand new addition, Santa’s Safari, a half mile light display.
The Island in Pigeon Forge will have 40,000 ornaments, 300,000 lights, and a 40 foot walk-through Christmas tree to enjoy.
