Visiting Sugarlands Distilling Company is a must-do when in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. We had a great time touring the distillery, sampling the moonshine, and learning how they make their spirits. Even though we knew a few things ahead of time, there were still some things we wish we had known before going. Here are three tips to help you make the most out of your visit.
1. Sugarlands Distilling Company Is No Longer “free”
In order to help maintain a family-friendly environment in our beautiful mountain community, the City of Gatlinburg has asked all distilleries to begin charging a fee of $5.00 per person to sample spirits. So the once “Free” Moonshine Tastings now charge $5.00 per person – however, as a way of saying thank you to guests, each individual participating in a tasting will receive a $5 voucher redeemable with any in-store purchase! So basically, it is still free and a win-win situation!
2. Sugarlands Distilling Company Offers Coupons Online
Looking for a souvenir cup or just to save some extra money? You’re in luck! The Sugarlands Distilling Company offers coupons and discounts to help your wallet while you’re on your Gatlinburg vacation. Before you go to Trip Advisors #1 Attraction in Gatlinburg – do a quick google search for discounts and save the coupons on your digital device – boom, there you go!
3. Sugarlands Distilling Company Is On The Gatlinburg Trolley Routes
It’s simple don’t drink and drive! I wish I knew that 2 of the 3 Gatlinburg Trolleys run along where the distillery is located. The Trolley system’s Purple and Blue Routes are FREE and are a great and safe way to navigate Gatlinburg after a few rounds at Sugarlands! Click here for more Trolley information.
